Mimi Gan & Melinda Morrison
At a glance, Melinda is the tall skinny one (as in latte). Mimi is a short 2%. But up close, we are award-winning producers and media consultants with more than 20 years of experience.
Mi2 Media's specialty is short-form media but we do much more. We are experts at honing an organization's or company's message and then conveying it through video, high-profile events, live broadcasts and social media. We listen to our clients and then use our expertise to come up with the best media plan.
We are compassionate and compelling storytellers.
We are drawn to stories that can make a difference in the world and have traveled the globe to interview world leaders, innovators and everyday heroes. Whether it's profiling heads of state or the homeless, we always strive to be sensitive and well-prepared.
We are humbled.
In addition to being seasoned producers, writers and field directors, we have an expansive network of award-winning photojournalists, editors and technical crews in every city, state and country. If you need a video shoot in Mogadishu or Memphis we can handle it.
Our goal is to capture the heart and soul of a story…the kind of stories that stay with you.
"When it comes to interviewing high profile celebrities or the most delicate guests, Melinda showed incredible grace, sensitivity and intelligence in the field. We could always count on her to bring back a compelling story."

Melinda Morrison
For the past 15 years Melinda Morrison worked as a senior field producer/ director for the Oprah Winfrey Show. During her tenure at Harpo she originated, produced and managed segments and shows. She was one of a handful of producers who directed Ms. Winfrey in the field. As a producer she orchestrated and directed field shoots throughout the U.S. and foreign countries. She has written and edited thousands of stories for the show. As a senior field producer she has covered everything from the Academy Awards to Hurricane Katrina, to a one-hour exclusive special with Oprah at the Yearning for Zion Polygamist compound in Texas.
In addition to her work at Harpo, she also formed her own PR consultancy called The Media Pros. As a media specialist she helped public relations experts, non-profits and major companies hone their campaigns and pitches to the media. She has media trained medical experts, authors and CEOs before on-camera interviews. As a media manager she worked with a broad range of clients. For larger clients, agencies such as Golin-Harris and Devries she provided counsel on overall strategy, story development, press releases, media relations and has done extensive media training for spokespersons. For individual clients she provided the same services, as well as producing EPKs, VNRs, media events and overall campaigns.
Melinda's passion is good storytelling whether it is an exclusive interview with a world leader or profiling a disabled Olympic athlete. Her goal is always the same, to open people's hearts and minds.
Melinda is a graduate of USC's Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism. In 2002 she created a non-profit in honor of one of her guests on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Prior to forming Mi2Media, Mimi was a science and technology correspondent for the Discovery Channel's Beyond 2000 and a national field producer for the syndicated PM Magazine show based in San Francisco.
